Smith-Murgian

This guest house was built in 2016 on Pocket Ranch Road on the hillside above Geyserville. It was a remodel of an existing barn and was designed by John Kleman of Kleman Design. Some of the salient features include the large roll-up sectional glass doors, the hanging Fireorb gas fireplace, and the Western Red Cedar ceiling boards in the living room. The exterior lower floor walls and the patio retaining wall were covered with Hardie cement panels, the upper floor walls with cedar boards, and the roof is standing seam metal. There is a metal framed trellis on three sides with fire-treated cedar slats and the patio has a Fortuna pizza oven recessed into the wall. The lower floor bath has a full wall view to outside, with a precast concrete sink; the upper floor bedroom and bath are accessed via the balcony, with a steel cable rail overlooking the living room.
