This 6000 square foot house in Sebastopol features a central, two-story rectangular block with one-foot thick walls and a smooth-troweled, integral plaster finish.  The kitchen, dining, and living room axis has a three-story tower with sweeping views of the Sonoma hills.  There’s a spacious master bath shower with three shower heads, limestone tile, a curved glass block wall and a steam generator. A long sunroom and shade trellis create an inviting transition from the house to the pool and spa.  We built curved and straight rammed-earth landscape walls to surround the whole project.  This house needs no air conditioning; with its thick, insulated walls and the latest low-e, gas-filled windows, it stays amazingly cool in the summertime. Even the sunroom, with tinted its ceiling glass, is very tolerable on hot days.
