Hupomone
One of a number of projects we’ve done with Turnbull, Griffin and Haesloop, this home sits on 150 acres just west of Petaluma. A Platinum Leed- certified project, every aspect of construction had to meet rigorous green building standards. The energy systems include solar photovoltaic , solar thermal for heating the pool, and geothermal for heating the house through the radiant floor. All materials for the project also had to meet specific guidelines, such as lumber that had been sustainably harvested, products produced within a certain distance from the project, or a specified percentage of recycled content. The large window wall in the high-ceiling living room lends a wonderful, expansive view of Sonoma hills to the South.
